RO: Nu mai este de multă vreme o noutate faptul că suntem înnebuniți după Olanda, după Amsterdam și tot ce are atmosfera aceea tipic olandeză – ba chiar informația aceasta devine de-a dreptul redundantă prin postările noastre 🙂 Însă vrem să povestim cu tot entuziasmul aferent despre evenimentul Nuna la care am participat săptămâna trecută și care ne-a întărit convingerile despre tot ce înseamnă Olanda! Și ca să începem cu începutul, invitația la eveniment a fost de fapt și de drept pentru bebe Alexei 🙂 Noi, cei doi părinți veniți la pachet, am fost practic invitații lui, iar scopul nostru a fost să îl distrăm și amuzăm testând produsele Nuna 😀

EN: Nothing new about the fact that we’re mad about The Netherlands, about Amsterdam and that typical Dutch atmosphere – actually this information is becoming more and more redundant through our postings 🙂 But we would like to enthusiastically talk about the Nuna event that we were invited at last week that strengthened all our beliefs regarding The Netherlands! But starting with the beginning, the invitation at this event was actually for baby Alexei 🙂 Us, the two parents joining him, were basically his guests, and our purpose there was to amuse and entertain him while testing the Nuna products 😀 

RO: Nuna este un brand olandez care produce cam tot ce ar fi nevoie pentru bebeluși și copii, însă ce este foarte cool la ei este faptul că mizează foarte mult pe minimalism, pe un design inteligent și pe aspectul extrem dar extrem de practic pentru părinți. În alte cuvinte, fără produse inutile care să umple casa fără noimă, ceea ce pentru noi este absolut ideal. Încă de când s-a născut Alexei ne-am impus să păstrăm pe cât posibil designul minimalist al apartamentului nostru, fără să îl încărcăm cu produse bebelusesti voluminoase, colorate, complet nepractice și scumpe.

EN: Nuna is a Dutch brand that produces everything needed for babies and children and what is really cool about them is the fact that they are focused on minimalism, on a smart design and the extreme practicality for the parents. In other words, no useless products that fill the house without any kind of sense, which for us is ideal. Ever since Alexei was born we wanted to keep the minimalist design of our apartment, without loading it with voluminous, colored, completely impractical and expensive baby products. 

RO: Astfel că cei de la Nuna își dezvoltă produsele studiind îndeaproape viața de familie, își găsesc inspirația în viața de zi cu zi în jurul copiilor (nu-i de mirare că este o afacere de familie) și vor să creeze produse care să se integreze perfect în casele și viețile părinților, fără să le invadeze spațiul și fără să compromită designul interior deja existent. De altfel chiar și motto-ul lor, designed around your life, spune asta 🙂 Așa că da, încă de când le-am deschis pentru prima oară site-ul ne-au cucerit iremediabil, dragoste la primul scroll 🙂 Buuuuun, dar să povestim despre evenimentul din Amsterdam!

EN: So Nuna creates their products by studying closely the family life, finding their inspiration in the day by day life around the children (no wonder this is a family run business) and they want to create products that perfectly fit in the houses and the lives of the parents, without invading their space and without compromising the existing interior design. Actually even their motto, designed around your life, suggest this 🙂 So yes, ever since we’ve first opened their website we were completely conquered, love at first scroll 🙂 Ok but let’s talk about the Amsterdam event!




RO: Întreaga experiență a fost absolut genialaaaa! Am fost cazați la hotelul QO Amsterdam, care este un adevărat Paradis pentru orice pasionat de tehnologie-da, da, lumini, draperii, televizor, totul era la un click distanță pe tabletă 😀 În mod surprinzător, Alexei este extrem de încântat de camerele de hotel, de dormit în pat nou, de medii complet diferite decât cele cu care este obișnuit. Iar legat de transferul de la aeroport cu un bebeluș, opțiunea noastră ar fi fost să venim cu metroul direct către hotel, însă cei de la Nuna ne-au propus să testăm și scoica lor, astfel au aranjat un transfer privat cu scoică inclusă. La dus am testat modelul Pipa Icon prinsă în centuri, iar la întors modelul Pipa Lite, prinsă în isofix, cel mai nou și mai ușor model de scoică de la ei. De parcă am fi redescoperit roata, am realizat și noi (fix acum, când e cazul să renunțăm la scoică și să trecem la scaun de mașină), cât de utilă ar fi fost o scoică prinsă în isofix. Toată perioada aceasta de șase luni ne-am chinuit cu prinsul în centuri, când ar fi fost mult mai simplu să alegem un model cu prindere isofix (modelul Pipa Lite include și bază isofix, iar scoica are doar 2,3 kg).

EN: The entire experience was absolutely greaaaaat! We stayed at the QO Amsterdam hotel, which is a real Paradise for any technology lover – yup, all lights, curtains, television, everything one click away on the ipad 😀 Surprisingly, Alexei loves hotel rooms, sleeping in new beds and staying in completely different environments than what he is already used to. And about the airport transfer with the baby, our option would have been taking the metro directly to the hotel, but Nuna suggested to test their car seat as well, so they arranged a private transfer with car seat included. From the airport to the hotel we’ve tried Pipa Icon installed rearward with the seat belt and on return we tested the new Pipa Lite model, isofix base installed, the newest and lightest car seat from Nuna. As if we would have reinvented the wheel, we finally realized (now, when we’ll have to go to the next car seat model, for bigger babies), how useful would have been to have a baby car seat with isofix base installation. All this period of six months we struggled with installing it in the car seat belts, when it would have been much easier to have one that can be installed in the isofix base (Pipa Lite includes the isofix base and the car seat itself only weights 2,3 kg).

RO: Evenimentul a avut loc într-o casă din apropierea hotelului. Citind înainte despre evenimentul din Londra din vară, eram extrem de siguri că totul se va petrece într-o casă tipic olandeză, cu arhitectură veche, asemănătoare caselor de pe canalele din centru. Așa că nu mică ne-a fost mirarea să vedem că era vorba de o casă extrem de modernă, minimalistă, decorată în stil scandinav, cu o curte interioară superbă și cu niște decorațiuni perfecteeee! Mâncarea era gătită pe loc, chiar în bucătăria casei, de un chef olandez, băuturile la fel, iar faptul că erau puțin peste 30-40 de invitați doar, a făcut că întregul eveniment să pâră o petrecere în casa unui prieten. Și în tot acest decor au fost integrate și produsele Nuna, fără să pară câtuși de puțin ostentativ. Efectiv toate produsele erau amplasate în diverse locuri din casă, pentru ca invitații să vadă exact cum ar arăta și cum s-ar integra într-o casă normală și nu un showroom sau magazin. Scaunele de masă în bucătărie, cărucioarele în curte, pătuțurile pliabile în dormitoare și balansoarele în living. Totul era cât se poate de firesc în tot aranjamentul, iar noi puteam testa oricare dintre produse, pentru a vedea ce ni s-ar potrivi mai bine. Bineînțeles, erau foarte mulți consultanți Nuna care ne ofereau diverse informații tehnice despre produse și chiar a avut loc și o prezentare a brandului și a fiecărui produs în parte.

EN: The event was hosted in a house close to the hotel. Reading beforehand about the Nuna event in London this summer, we were completely sure that everything will be happening in a typically old Dutch house, with old architecture, similar with the houses along the canals in the city center. So we were surprised to see that the house was in fact very modern, minimalist, decorated in Scandinavian style, with a gorgeous interior court and some perfeeeect decorations! The food was cooked in front of us by a Dutch chef, right in the kitchen of the house, the drinks as well and the fact that there were no more than 30-40 guests made the entire event feel like a friend’s party at home. And in all this decor there have been layed out the Nuna products, without looking ostentatious at all. Every product was located in different parts of the house, so that the guests can see exactly how would they look like and how would they integrate in a normal, real house and not a showroom or store. The eating chairs in the kitchen, the strollers in the backyard, the cribs in the bedroom and the swingers in the living room. Everything was so normal and obvious in all this arrangement and we could test any products just to see what would fits us best. Of course, there were a lot of Nuna consultants that offered us all kind of technical information about the products and they even had a brand presentation describing each product in particular. 








RO: Au fost invitați bloggeri din zona de parenting din mai multe țări și chiar a fost o oportunitate foarte drăguță să întâlnim și să socializăm cu familii curajoase, care se încumetă să plece peste tot în lume chiar și atunci când au mai mult de un copil 🙂 #ParentingGoals am spune noi, având în vedere cât de mult ne dorim să ne continuăm călătoriile chiar și după ce a apărut bebe Alexei în viața noastră 🙂 Printre conturile de Instagram care ne-au atras atenția la eveniment și pe care ne dorim să le urmărim în continuare se numără și @threebirdies, o superbitate de mamica cu trei pitici adorabili, @stylingliebe – un cuplu din Germania cu o fetita superba, cu un cont absolut perfect si @sienna.and.i, un cont absolut fabulos cu niste poze de familie ireal de frumoase, care a participat la evenimentul din Londra. De altfel, evenimentul a fost foarte vizibil in social media, toate postarile au fost incluse in hashtagurile #nunaevent, #allyouneedisnuna si #designedaroundyourlife , toate contin poze de la eveniment si descriu intreaga atmosfera de la fata locului.

EN: There have been invited parenting bloggers from different countries and it was a really nice opportunity for us to meet and socialize with brave families, that have the courage to adventure everywhere in the world even when they have more than one baby 🙂 #ParentingGoals we would say, considering how much we want to continue travelling even after baby Alexei is part of our lives 🙂 Some of the Instagram accounts that came into our notice and we would like to continue following are @threebirdies, a gorgeous mommy with three adorable girls, @stylingliebe – a couple from Germany with a gorgeous little girl, with an absolutely perfect account and @sienna.and.i – a fabulous account with some surreal family portraits. Besides, the event was highly visible in social media, all the postings have been included in #nunaevent, #allyouneedisnuna and #designedaroundyourlife hashtags, all containing photos from the event and describing the entire atmosphere from the event.



RO: În urma evenimentului, trei produse ne-au atras atenția și chiar ne dorim să le cumpărăm cât de curând. Cum Alexei a împlinit de curând șase luni și urmează să pornim în lungul și anevoiosul drum spre diversificare :D, avem nevoie de un scaun de masă. Nu stă încă în șezut, însă am vrea să ne pregătim cu un scaun de masă Zaaz (culoare Almond, care să se potrivească cromatic cu restul casei-l-am găsit pe site-ul celor de la bebebrands.ro – aici). Apoi, balansoarul Leaf Grow pare o mană cerească pentru bebeluși (ori poate mai corect ar fi pentru părinți :D). Alexei nu este mare fan balansoare, se plictisește foarte repede, însă din primul moment în care l-am așezat în “frunza” celor de la Nuna, a fost extrem de încântat. Se pare că ar fi un alt mod de legănare, mai natural și mai apropiat de senzația de legănare din brațele mamei (mai amplă, mai lentă și mai puțin săltăreață ca la alte balansoare – l-am găsit aici). Și apoi, pătuțul pliabil Sena (culoare Safari, l-am găsit aici). Nu știm dacă Alexei ar vrea să doarmă noaptea în el (doarme între noi în patul nostru), însă faptul că este atât de ușor pliabil, se împachetează foarte compact, ar putea fi foarte util pentru noi în plecările cu mașina prin țară. L-am folosi în mod deosebit ca spațiu de joacă (este mai mare ca suprafață ca salteluța lui de activități), nu neapărat ca pat. Și ar mai fi fost și un al patrulea, geanta de scutece, dacă nu am fi primit-o deja cadou din partea celor de la Nuna 🙂 Nuna sunt foarte cunoscuți și pentru cărucioare, însă pentru că avem deja unul de care suntem foarte mulțumiți, ne-am focusat pe produsele de mobilier, așa că nu am aprofundat atât de bine partea de cărucioare. Când va mai crește însă Alexei, vom căuta un cărucior mai mic, mai ușor și mai potrivit pentru călătorit.

EN: After the event we decided on three products and we would really want to buy them very soon. As Alexei just turned six months and we will soon start the long and troublesome way of food diversification, we will soon need a chair. He is not yet sitting, but we would like to prepare with a Zaaz table chair (Almond color so that it can match the rest of the house – we found it on bebebrands.ro website – here). Then, the Leaf Grow swinger seems like a godsend for babies (or maybe for parents :D). Alexei usually doesn’t like swingers too much, he gets easily bored, but from the first moment we’ve put him into the Nuna “leaf”, he was extremely pleased. It seems that it has a different way of swinging, more natural and closer to the sensation felt in the mother’s arms (wider, smoother and less bouncy – we found it here). And then the easy to fold Sena crib (Safari color, found it here). We don’t know if baby Alexei will sleep in it (he’s used to sleeping with us, in our bed), but the fact that it is so easy to fold could be useful in our road trips in Romania. We would use it especially as a playground (it is bigger than his activities playground mattress), not necessarily as a bed. And there would be a forth product as well, the diaper bag, but we already received it from Nuna as a present 🙂 Nuna is also a well known stroller producer, but because we are very satisfied with the one that we currently have, we focused on the in home products rather than on strollers. But when Alexei will grow we will have to find a smaller, easier and more travel suitable stroller.

RO: Și bineînțeles, n-am fi putut să ratăm ocazia de a ne plimba pentru a nu știm câtă oară prin centrul Amsterdam-ului, chiar dacă nu am avut prea mult timp la dispoziție. Dar când vine vorba de clădiri colorate înșirate de-a lungul canalului, de stroopwaffles și brânză delicioasă, n-avem cum să spunem nu 🙂 Și chiar dacă Amsterdam nu ar putea fi caracterizat ca fiind chiar baby friendly, a fost minunat ca l-am văzut în timpul săptămânii, când era foarte liniște, fără haosul, agitația, petrecerile și gălăgia din weekend. Ce a fost însă o provocare pentru noi legat de cel mic a fost vântul, de altfel foarte specific zonei. Deși temperaturile nu erau foarte scăzute, din cauza vântului foarte puternic se simțea mult, mult mai frig. Așa că pentru prima oară am folosit și sacul de cărucior (are o pufoșenie groasă pe dedesubt, care ține de cald) și husa de ploaie pe deasupra căruciorului. O luasem în mod deosebit pentru ploaie, însă am observat că toți părinții o purtau în Amsterdam peste cărucior ca să îi ferească pe cei mici de vânt. Așa că am folosit-o și noi în acest scop și a fost minunat 🙂

EN: And of course, we couldn’t miss the chance to wander the center of Amsterdam for the umpteenth time, even though we didn’t have much time. But when it comes to colorful buildings along the canals, stroopwoofles and good cheese, we simply can’t say no 🙂 And even though Amsterdam might not be the most baby friendly city in The Netherlands, it was lovely to see it during week time, when it was peaceful, without the chaos, the hustle and bustle, the parties and the noise from the weekend. But what was a real challenge for us regarding the baby was the wind, actually typical to this area. Even though the temperatures were not that low, because of the wind it felt way much colder. So for the first time we had to use the winter cover for the stroller (it has a nice fluffiness inside that keeps the baby warm) and the rain cover above the stroller. We actually took it in case of rain, but we’ve seen many parents wearing it above the stroller to protect the baby from the wind. So we also used it and it was great 🙂
