Frankfurt & Wolfsburg

EN: Truth is that Frankfurt is not one of Germany’s strengths. Seems a bit to corporate, and yup, we have to admit it, it completely lacks the Bavarian charm of Munich. It is true that this is the financial center of the country and the central market and the bridges over the Main river look really nice on a sunny day, but we would actually prefer to stay away from all that hustle and bustle – so typical to this city. A couple of colorful houses in Nidda, a castle at Kronberg or Marburg, maybe a short visit to Limburg or why not, a walk in Wiesbaden. We’ll discover the Hesse land from tip to toe as when we next come here, as we should definitely get rid of the obsession with the southern Germany and let the other German regions surprise us 😀 And by the way, we’re soon planning a visit to the northern part of Germany, as the North Sea seems to be tempting us with it unexplored beaches.

EN: But up until then we’ll go to Wolfsburg, as it seems we have a long way ahead. And if we managed to get over the timber frame houses obsession, we’re changing tack and give up to traditionalism in favor of modern architecture. Because just one hour away from Hanover we have the Autostadt from Wilsburg, with its two iconic towers, full of cars ready tobe delivered 🙂 Yes, yes, those two towers have plenty of time to store 400 cars each, and when it comes to delivery, an automatic arm goes up and gets customer’s car – as if it would be a children game 🙂 The problem was that we arrived a bit too late to Autostadt (what can we do, even the German traffic has crams and traffic jams) and  30 minutes to explore the park are definitely not enough. Buuuut we’re planning to come back and spend an entire day here, as well as seeing the Volkswagen factory, as this seems to be one of the biggest and more modern factories in the world.

EN: As for the gorgeous stripe dress worn in Germany, oh well, that’s part of the latest Chemistry collection 🙂 And it’s Heaven on Earth in a traveler’s luggage. Even a t-shirt takes up more room in the luggage! And then, the fabric doesn’t crease and one can barely feel it when wearing it. And thanks God, there are lots and lots of similar beauties in Vera’s last collection, which can be found on the official Chemistry website.
