RO: Adevarul e ca am avut nici mai mult, nici mai putin de o ora si jumatate de vazut Leiden-ul. Si asta o zicem dupa tichetul de parcare, haha! Dar ne-a convins. Ne-a luat mintile Amsterdam-ul asta in miniatura, cu cladirile lui colorate si insirate de-o parte si de alta a canalelor, cu tarabele de flori, strazile inguste din centru, restaurantele si cafenelele, toata zarva din oras, tot freamatul de pe strazi. Nu degeaba aici e orasul artistilor si boemilor olandezi. Pana una alta, aici s-a nascut Rembrandt, deci ce mai tura-vura 🙂 Si-n plus de asta, in Leiden se afla si cea mai veche universitate din toata Olanda! Si uite asa se explica de ce pe putin unul din zece oameni de aici este student 🙂 Dar sa fim seriosi, intr-o ora si jumatate abia ai timp sa iei putin pulsul orasului. Data viitoare ne pregatim mai temeinic, vedem si Universitatea, si Gradina Botanica, si fortul Burcht van Leiden, facem si o plimbare cu barca pe canale, incercam si niste mancaruri locale. Dar pana atunci, mai exersam un pic de olandeza. Tot ziens! 🙂

EN: To tell you the truth, we had neither more nor less than  one and a half hour to see Leiden. And we’re saying this after seeing the parking ticket, haha! But it totally convinced us. This miniature Amsterdam drove us crazy, with its colorful buildings alongside the canals, with the flower stalls, the narrow streets from the city center, the restaurants and the cafes, all the hustle from the city, all the bustle from the streets. No wonder why this is the city of artists and Dutch bohemians. In the end, this is the place where Rembrandt was born, needless to say 🙂 Besides, Leiden has the oldest university in the whole NL! And that explains why one out of ten people living here is a student 🙂 But let’s be serious, one hour and a half is definitely not enough to see the city. Next time we’ll prepare ourselves more and we’ll see the University, the Botanic Garden, the Burcht van Leiden fort, we’ll wander the canals on boat and we’ll try some local foods. But until then, we’ll practice some more Dutch. Tot ziens! 🙂
