RO: Atata am mai batut apa in piua cu Colmar si atata am cautat variante de ajuns in satucul-minune al Frantei pe timp de vara, ca in final ne-am luat bilete ca sa mergem iarna 😀 Daaaar nu-i bai, Colmar e de poveste fie ploaie, fie vant 🙂 Iar cand vine vorba de targurile de Craciun, jos palaria. E de departe cel mai frumos si mai dichisit targ de Craciun vazut vreodata. Si da, fara suparare nemtilor, poate ca ati inventat voi toata treaba cu pietele de Craciun si casutele de lemn pline de dracenii craciunesti si gluhwein-uri, dar Franta are un as in maneca cu satele din Alsacia. Si Colmar nu e singurul, sunt peste 100 de targuri de Craciun in toata Alsacia, mai ceva ca draga de Bavaria! Ba am putea spune chiar ca e mai frumos si mai atent aranjat si decorat ca Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Nirvana pietelor de Craciun, premiat ani la rand pentru cel mai frumos targ. Asa ca nu ne ramane decat sa incercam tot “vin chaud”-ul, sa mancam “bulgarii de zapada” plini de bezea si ciocolata si sa pozam fiecare cladire impopotonata si gatita de sarbatoare. Craciun Fericit!

EN: We insisted so much to go to Colmar and we kept searching on and on for options to get to this gorgeous French village during summer time, that in the end we bought the tickets for December 😀 Buuuut that’s no issue at all, as Colmar is a fairy-tale, no matter the weather 🙂 And when it comes to Christmas markets, hats off! This is by far the most beautiful and swanky Christmas market we have ever seen. And yup, no offense German people, maybe you invented all this thing with Christmas fairs and wooden shacks full of Christmassy things and gluhweins, but France has an ace up its sleeve with all the villages from Alsace. And Colmar is not the only one, there are more than 100 Christmas markets in all Alsace region, even more than in Bavaria! And we could also add that Colmar is even nicer decorated than Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Nirvana of the Christmas markets, decorated years in a row for being the most beautiful Christmas fair. So we’re only left with trying all the “vin chaud” and the “snowballs” full of marshmallows and chocolate and photograph each and every single building festively decorated for Christmas.
