RO: Recunoaștem, multă vreme am zis că Disneyland nu este pentru noi. Fie că e prea turistic și aglomerat, fie că suntem prea “adulți” ca să ne mai bucurăm de toate atracțiile, cert că e  întotdeauna găseam motive pertinente (sau nu) să nu mergem ori să îl lăsăm întotdeauna pe altă dată. Însă când și cel mai serios dintre prietenii noștri ne-a spus că e un adevărat Paradis, atât pentru copii, cât și pentru adulți, am început să regândim planurile noastre de vizitat Franța și să includem în traseu o zi, măcar o zi la faimosul parc de distracții. Și nu, nu, nu, excursia la Disneyland nu a fost neapărat pentru Alexei, care este oricum mult prea mititel ca să se poată bucura de tot ce are parcul de oferit. A fost pentru noi, părinții, sau pentru copiii din noi. Pentru că niciodată în ultimii ani nu am fost atât de entuziasmați și fericiți să vedem carusele, roller coastere, personaje din desene animate, renumitul Castel al Prințesei Adormite ori să auzim muzica aceea care parcă te transpune într-un tărâm magic. Pentru că până la urmă… Disneyland este cel mai fericit loc de pe pământ, unde se întâmplă numai lucruri magice și fermecătoare, după cum spune și sloganul 🙂 No offense tarilor nordice, nu contestăm titlul vostru de cele mai fericite țări din lume, însă Disneyland Paris este sinonimul fericirii! Și-a întineririi am zice noi. Asta dacă bineînțeles, nu ești părinte de copil de vreo 3-4 ani, pentru că atunci lucrurile se schimbă puțin, iar parcul și întreaga experiență la Disney poate deveni un adevărat test de răbdare 😀

EN: We have to admit it, for a long long time we always considered that Disneyland is not for us. We thought that it might be too touristic and crowded or that we are now “too” adults to enjoy all the attractions it has to offer. Anyways, we always found good reasons to postpone the visit at Disneyland for some other time. But when one of our most serious friends of ours told us that this is a real Paradise, for both children and adults, we started to reconsider our plans for visiting France and include at least one day to the famous themed park. And no, no, no, the trip to Disneyland wasn’t meant to be for Alexei, who’s still too young to understand and enjoy everything at Disneyland. It was meant for us, the parents, or for the children in us. Never in the last years we have been so happy and excited to see carousels, roller coasters, the famous Castle of the Sleeping Beauty or to hear that music that made us think that we’re in a magical land. Because in the end… Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth, where magic happens, as the slogan says 🙂 No offense Nordic countries, we do not dispute your title of the happiest countries on Earth, but Disneyland is synonymous with happiness! And with rejuvenation we would say. That of course, if you don’t have a 3-4 years old child, as things could get really complicated then and the entire experience at Disneyland can become a real test of patience 😀










RO: Dar da, totul, absolut totul la Disneyland este magic, de la intrarea în parc până la fabulosul castel, de la fiecare căsuță și magazinas decorat într-o perfecțiune maniaca de-a dreptul până la fiecare decor al atracțiilor, realizat cu o atenție la detalii incredibilă! Și da, suntem de acord, Disney este atât pentru cei mici, cât și pentru cei mari, și nici măcar nu e nevoie să cunoști toate producțiile Disney pentru a te bucura de fiecare atracție în parte. Când vezi o mare de oameni, fie ei de-o șchioapă sau chiar și oameni mari, în toată firea, purtând cu toții urechi de Mickey Mouse pe capete și zâmbete largi pe fețe, nu ai cum, efectiv nu ai cum să nu te bucuri!

EN: And yes, indeed, absolutely everything at Disneyland is magical, from the entrance of the park to the fabulous castle, from every tiny house and shop decorated in a maniacal perfection to all the decorations of each attraction, all created with such a stunning attention to details! And yes, we agree, Disneyland is for both children and adults and honestly, you don’t even have to know all Disney productions to enjoy each attraction from the park. When you hundreds of people, no matter if they are children or grown ups, all wearing Mickey Mouse ears on their heads and large smiles on their faces, you simply can’t help laughing and having a great time here!

RO: Disneyland Paris este împărțit în două parcuri: Disneyland Park și Studiourile Walt Disney iar cei mai mulți vizitatori aleg să le vadă pe amândouă (însă nu neapărat în aceeași zi). Dacă ar fi să alegem un singur parc dintre cele două, am alege cu ochii închiși Disneyland Park, pentru că aici se află faimosul castel din toate genericele Disney și toate atracțiile senzaționale din fiecare zonă tematică (parcul este împărțit în patru zone tematice diferite: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland ori Discoveryland). Și în final, atmosfera aceea de poveste din copilărie o simți aici, mai degrabă decât în Studiourile Walt Disney.

EN: Disneyland Paris is divided in two themed parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios and most of the visitors choose to see both (not necessarily in the same day though). If we were to only choose one from the two parks, it would be Disneyland Park without a doubt, as this where the famous castle from all the Disney productions and all the stunning attraction from each themed area (the park has four different areas: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Discoveryland). And in the end, here is the place where you can feel that childhood fairy tale atmosphere, more than in the Walt Disney Studios.





RO: Cât despre roller coastere și alte atracții dătătoare de adrenalină în exces, ei bine, aici avem de prezentat două opinii contradictorii. Unul dintre noi e de părere că sunt senzaționale, deși nu neapărat extreme, celălalt ar spune cu mâna pe inimă că a murit și reînviat după 30 de secunde de spaimă teribilă (care au părut o viață și jumătate). Ușor de ghicit cine-i cine 😀 Însă indiferent de cum sunt percepute atracțiile, un lucru e cert: sunt senzațional de bine realizate, tematica fiecăreia este pusă în aplicare perfect: decoruri, organizare, siguranță. Și până la urmă, sunt de toate pentru toți, de la ceșcuțe amețitoare până la roller coastere înspăimântătoare 🙂

EN: As for the roller coasters and other excessive adrenaline attractions, oh well, here we have two different opinions to present. One of us think they are great, but not necessarily extreme, the other would honestly declare that he died and revived after 30 seconds of terrible horror (that seemed like a lifetime and a bit). Easy to guess who’s who 😀 But no matter how the attractions are perceived by each one of us, one thing is certain: they are amazingly well realized, the theme of each one of them is perfectly envisioned: decorations, organization, safety. And in the end, there are attractions for everyone, from dizzily small little cups to frightening roller coasters 🙂

RO: Singură mențiune pe care o avem de făcut este că fără fast pass-ul care îți asigură prioritate la intrarea la atracții (tot se stă la cozi, însă simțitor mai mici), jumătate din timpul petrecut la Disney (dacă nu mai bine de atât) va fi petrecut așteptând la cozi interminabile. Da, este adevărat că este un cost adițional, însă salvează enorm de mult timp și nervi 🙂 Atâta doar că nu toate atracțiile au linie de fast pass, astfel că la unele dintre ele, vrând nevrând tot se stă la cozi. Știm că statul la cozi este o normalitate la Disney însă pentru noi este pur și simplu lipsită de orice fel de logică așteptarea aceasta (uneori chiar de o oră sau mai bine) pentru a te da într-un carusel. Astfel că strategia noastră a fost să alegem doar atracțiile unde există linie de fast pass, iar în rest să ne bucurăm de întregul parc plimbându-ne printre toate decorurile. Am înțeles însă de la alți prieteni mai experimentați în ale Disneyland-ului că ar fi indicat să vii cu temele făcute de acasă. Să studiezi cu atenție fiecare zonă tematică (Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland ori Discoveryland), să alegi atracțiile cele mai tentante și să îți faci un plan bine pus la punct pentru a profita din plin de toate. Evident, noi, începători în ale Disney-ului, am venit total nepregătiți iar timpul petrecut în parc s-a scurs de parcă nici n-a fost!

EN: One thing that is worth mentioning is the fact that without a fast pass, that ensures priority at some of the attractions (there are still lines, but considerably smaller) half of the time spent at Disney (if not more than that) will be waiting in endless lines. Yes, it is true that there is an additional cost for the fast pass, but it saves a lot of time and nerves 🙂 Just that not all the attractions have a fast pass line, so there are some of them where you still have to wait in line. We now know that waiting in lines is something normal at Disney but for us, all this waiting (sometimes even for more than one hour) it’s just nonsense. So our strategy was to choose only the attractions that had a fast pass line and in the rest of our time just to enjoy the park and all the decorations. We understood from some more experienced friends of ours that it would be good to be prepared and  well documented when visiting Disneyland. So each themed area should be checked prior to the visit (Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland or Discoveryland) and then choose the most tempting attractions from each one of them, so that you can enjoy more the time spent at Disney. Obviously, us, newbies in anything related to Disneyland, came totally unprepared and the time spent in the park was shorter than we thought!

RO: Despre cazările la Disney se știe un lucru general valabil: că sunt exorbitant de scumpe. Și din toată documentarea făcută de noi, confirmăm, chiar sunt. În plus, nu credem că era momentul acum să încercăm unul dintre cele șase hoteluri Disney (Disneyland Hotel – chiar la intrarea în parc, Disney’s Hotel New York – închis, se va redeschide în 2020, Disney’s Newport Bay Club – 15 minute pe jos de parcuri, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne sau Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe). Poate că atunci când va fi Alexei mai mare, va merita să petrecem un weekend întreg, cazați la un hotel tematic, pentru că în mod cert se va bucura de toate facilitățile pentru copii pe care le oferă aceste hoteluri. Acum însă am preferat să stăm cazați într-un apartament AirBnB în Serris, orășelul de lângă Disneyland, de unde făceam aproximativ 20 de minute pe jos până la parcuri. Dacă am fi stat cazați în hotelurile Disney, am fi avut parcarea inclusă (altfel extrem de scumpă) și am fi putut intra în parcuri cu o oră înainte de deschiderea oficială (așa numită Extra Magic Time).

EN: As for the accommodation at Disney people generally know one thing: that is extremely expensive. And from all the research we’ve made, we can confirm, they really are. Besides, we don’t think that it was the proper time now for us to try one of the six hotels from Disney (Disneyland Hotel – right at the entrance of the park, Disney’s Hotel New York – closed, it will be reopened in 2020, Disney’s Newport Bay Club – 15 minuts walking from the parks, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge, Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne or Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe). Maybe when Alexei will be a little bit older, it will be better to spend an entire weekend at Disney, staying in one of the themed hotels, because he will probably enjoy more all the facilities for children that each of these hotels offers. But for now, we preferred staying in an AirBnB apartment in Serris, the little town close to Disneyland, from where he had to walk 20 minutes until the parks. If we would have stayed at the Disney hotels, we would have had the parking included (otherwise extremely expensive) and we could have entered the parks one hour earlier from the official opening (the so called Extra Magic Time).






RO: Ce ar fi fost extrem de util de știut înainte de a ajunge la Disneyland este că e aproape imposibil să mănânci la unul dintre restaurantele din parcuri. Este o aglomerație greu de imaginat și șansele să prinzi o masă liberă sunt aproape nule. Drept urmare, pentru că am fost extrem de neinspirați să nu mâncăm micul dejun, am fost nevoiți să stăm nemâncați până seara târziu, când am ajuns la apartament. Din fericire, venisem pregătiți cu pachețelul de mâncare pentru Alexei. În mod cert nu suntem noi cei mai în măsură să dăm sfaturi legate de Disneyland (fiind abia la prima vizită), însă dacă ar fi să facem o listă a lucrurilor care trebuie luate în calcul, în mod cert am începe cu planificarea vizitei și a atracțiilor care vor fi încercate. Probabil că pentru cineva care vrea să încerce mai multe atracții din fiecare zonă tematică o singură zi în parcul Disney nu va fi de ajuns. În plus, credem că nu e fezabil să vezi ambele parcuri într-o singură zi, și asta din cauza cozilor foarte, foarte mari și a timpului de așteptare pentru fiecare atracție în parte (noi fiind cu Alexei, am reușit să le vedem pe amândouă într-o singură zi, însă fără să ne dăm în foarte multe atracții). Un alt sfat util ar fi verificarea programului înainte de vizită, pentru a ști exact ce spectacole și parade se vor desfășura în ziua respectivă (noi am ratat parada personajelor și showul de artificii și pentru că nu știam exact la ce oră sunt, dar mai ales din cauză că Alexei era deja extrem de obosit înspre ora serii). În plus, e recomandat să downloadam aplicația parcului înainte de vizită, are foarte multe informații utile, hărți, timpi de așteptare pentru fiecare atracție în parte.

EN: It would have been useful to know before coming to Disney that it is almost impossible to eat at one of the restaurants from the park. It is extremely crowded and chances to have a table at lunch are almost zero. Thus, because we didn’t have breakfast in the morning, we couldn’t eat until we got to our apartment, late in the day. Luckily, we were prepared with Alexei’s meals, so everything was ok in the end. We are definitely not the ones who should give any ind of advice about Disneyland (this was our first visit), but if we were to make a list of all the things that should be considered, we would definitely start with planning the visit and the attractions that will be tried. For a person that wants to try more attractions from each themed area of the park, spending only one day at Disneyland will definitely won’t be enough. Besides, it’s not quite feasible to see both parks in the same day and that’s mainly because of the long queue and the huge waiting times for each attraction (because we’ve been with Alexei, we managed to see both in only one day, but we haven’t tried too many attractions). Another useful advice would be to check the schedule prior to the visit, to know exactly what shows and parades will be held in that day (we missed the Disney characters parade and the fireworks show as we did not know exactly at what hour they were scheduled, and Alexei was already very tired). Besides, it is advisable to download the Disney app before the visit, it has lots of useful information, maps, real time waiting times for each attraction.




RO: Cert e că dacă până acum consideram că Disneyland nu este pentru oamenii mari, acum ne-am schimbat complet părerea. Indiferent de vârstă și indiferent că știi sau nu toate personajele din producțiile Disney, parcul e senzațional! Este o adevărată poveste, spusă perfect, până în cele mai mici și mai atente detalii. Și-acum că știm exact despre ce e vorba, abia așteptăm să mai crească puțin Alexei și să ne întoarcem la Disneyland Paris cu lecțiile mai bine făcute, ca să ne bucurăm toți trei, ca niște copii ce încă suntem, de tot ce are parcul de oferit. Mickey, fii pe fază, data viitoare sigur nu te mai ratăm! 🙂

EN: One thing is certain, if up until now we considered that Disneyland is not for grown ups, we now completely changed our opinion. No matter the age and no matter if you know the characters from Disney productions or not, the park is stunning! It is a real fairy tale, perfectly envisioned, with so much attention to details. And now that we know exactly what is all about Disneyland Paris, we can’t wait for Alexei to grow a little bit older so that we can come back, more documented and more prepared, so that we can enjoy the park, all three of us, like kids that we still are. Mickey, watch out, next time we’ll meet you for sure! 🙂
