RO: Perla Eifel-ului (heeei, regiunea din Germania, nu turnul frantujilor! :D), Monschau, e o bijuterie, pur si simplu o bijuterie de orasel nemtesc (chiar daca aproape ca-i cu un picior in draga Valonie a Belgiei), cu tipicele case din barne de lemn, strazi pavate, piete locale si un targ de Craciun renumit deja in toata lumea. N-om fi apucat noi sa vedem targul in septembrie, insa ne-am bucurat din plin de farmecul orasului si de toate dragalaseniile de cladiri de poveste cu flori la ferestre, restaurante si mai ales bunatati delicioase de la piata locala din centru. Pare cumva un orasel de vis ascuns in munti 🙂 Ei bine, am fi zis noi ca am cam descoperit toate secretele Germaniei in materie de locuri grozave, insa Monschau chiar a fost o surpriza extrem de placuta. Si daca tot am prins gustul pentru orasele pitoresti, trecem pe lista si Trier, Bacharach, si-apoi toate satele de pe ruta castelelor, si-a drumului romantic si-a podurilor fabuloase! Dar pregatim cat de curand un wishlist cu toate locurile frumoase pe care le-am gasit in ultima vreme in Germania (traiasca Pinterest-ul si-ale lui poze de inspiratie :D), sa nu care cumva sa mai uitam de vreo minunatie ascunsa data viitoare cand vom ajunge prin zona 🙂

EN: The Pearl of the Eifel (heeeey, the region from Germany, not the French tower! :D), Monschau, is a hidden gem, a real gorgeous German town (even though it might look with one foot in Belgium’s Wallonie :P), with its typical half timbered houses, cobblestone streets, local markets and an already famous all around the world Christmas market. We did not see the Christmas fair in September buuut we enjoyed the typical charm of the town and all the fairy tale buildings with flowers at the windows, restaurants and delicious local foods in the central market. It really looks like a mountain hidden gem 🙂 Oh well, we thought that we discovered all the secrets Germany has to offer but Monschau was a really pleasant surprise. And now that we’re so into picturesque towns, we’re putting on the list Trier, Bacharach, and then all those cute villages on the castle route and on the romantic route and all those fabulous bridges! But we’ll soon prepare a wish list with all the beautiful places we’ve found in Germany (long live Pinterest and its inspiring photos :D), so that we will never forget about any other gorgeous hidden gems next time when we’ll be in this area 🙂
