RO:  Hmmm, poate că nu e cel mai grozav lucru să scriem despre bucățica aceasta de Rai numită Raven’s Nest,  taman în ultima săptămână când se mai pot rezerva camere aici (pentru că da, din păcate pe timpul iernii “cuibul” se închide, urmând ca abia la 1 mai să fie redeschis), însă pur și simplu nu ne putem abține să nu spunem câteva vorbe despre locșorul acesta minunat pe care l-am descoperit weekendul acesta datorită prietenilor noștri Bogdan și Anca. Care apropo, au scris deja un articol bestial despre Raven’s Nest aici, atât de îmbietor că sigur vă vor convinge să vreți să îl vedeți 🙂 Și chiar dacă cele șapte ore de condus din București nu par să fie tocmai ademenitoare, putem spune cu mâna pe inimă că locșorul acesta este unul dintre cele mai frumoase pe care le-am văzut vreodată în România. Ascuns fix în vârful muntelui, la capătul unui drum care-ți cam da de furcă, cu suișuri și coborâșuri, în mare parte neasfaltat și pe alocuri cu porțiuni destul de dificil de traversat (până la urmă asta face parte din distracție, cât s-ajungă la final de linie doar cei perseverenți :P), cu peisaje demențiale pe tot parcursul drumului și case vechi de când lumea și pământul răsfirate pe dealurile din împrejurimi. Fără pic de sirop și dulcegării, toată imaginea pare pictată, atât de ireal de frumos e totul!

EN: Hmmm, maybe it’s not the wisest thing to write about this little piece of Heaven called Raven’s Nest right in the last week when people can book rooms here (because yup, unfortunately the “nest” is closed during winter time and it will be reopened only on 1st of May), but we simply can’t help saying a few words about this lovely place that we’ve discovered this weekend thanks to our friends Bogdan and Anca. By the way, they already wrote a really cool article about Raven’s Nest which you can find here, it is so appealing that it will for sure convince you to come here and see this place 🙂 And even though those seven hours driving from Bucharest do not sound tempting at all, we can say in all sincerity that this place is one of the most beautiful one we’ve seen in Romania. Hidden on the top of the mountain, at the end of a bumpy road, with so many ups and downs, a country road with some difficult parts (in the end that’s part of the fun, so that only the tenacious ones to reach the end of the line :P), with gorgeous scenery on the way and old houses scattered all around the surrounding hills. Not a bit of exaggeration or sloppiness but all this image seems to be painted, that’s how beautiful it is!









RO: Iar când ajungi sus, în “satul ascuns” cum își spun cei de la Raven’s, pare c-ai nimerit pe bune într-un Paradis tradițional românesc. Căsuțe autentice, cu camere mobilate atât de frumos și primitor, terase pe stânci, cât să vezi întreaga vale în timp ce stai la relaxare în jacuzzi ori într-un hamac comod, căței simpatici și jucăuși (niște superbitati de ciobănești carpatini), nici urmă de televizor pe toată proprietatea daaaaar un cinema în aer liber pentru cei dornici de vreo romanță la ceas de seară 🙂 Și deși tare am fi vrut să începem tot articolul vorbind despre mâncarea de la Raven’s, o facem abia acum la final 🙂 Mâncarea e demențial de bună, niște bunătățuri delicioase cu nume care mai de care mai haioase. Cine a auzit de “izmene întoarse” până acum?! :))) Un lucru ne e clar de-acuma. La primăvară, în primul weekend din mai, imediat cum se redeschide, suntem primii care ne rezervăm două nopți de relaxare la Raven’s Nest! Și vi-l recomandăm și vouă cu dragă inimă, este un loc cu adevărat deosebit în țara noastră!

EN: And once you get up there, in the hidden village as the ones from Raven’s call it, seems that you’ve reached a traditional Romanian Paradise. Authentic huts, with cozy rooms, terraces on the rocks, just to see the entire valley while relaxing in the jacuzzi or in a comfortable hammock, cute and playful doggies (some absolutely gorgeous Carpathian Sheperds), not a trace of TV on the entire property buuuuut an open air cinema for those that are willing to see a romantic movie at sunset 🙂 And we have to admit it, we really wanted to start this article talking about the food at Raven’s, but we’ll do it now, at the end 🙂 The food is extremely tasty, some delicious dishes with funny names (can you imagine that they have a dessert called “tights upside down” – some kind of dumplings)? :)))) One thing is for sure now. Next year, in spring, in the first weekend from May, right after it will reopen, we’ll be the first ones that will book two nights of relaxation at Raven’s Nest! And we totally recommend this place to you as well, it is a truly special place in our country!
