RO: Sinceri sa fim, am facut o reala obsesie pentru mititelul GoPro 🙂 Desi il foloseam de ceva vreme (ba chiar verificand hardul cu poze vechi pare-se ca aproape in fiecare plecare l-am avut cu noi), in ultima vreme descoperim tot mai multe functionalitati interesante si ne tot bate gandul sa il folosim mai mult pentru fotografiile din calatorii. Da, poate ca nu suntem inca pregatiti sa renuntam la aparatul foto DSLR, insa de ceva vreme ne gandim ce alternative mai practice, mai confortabile si mai putin voluminoase am avea pentru calatoriile noastre. Mai ales acum, de cand cu bebe Alexei, cautam orice tertip pentru a optimiza spatiul, timpul ori bagajele. Folosim un GoPro Hero 7 Black in momentul de fata si spunem cu toata sinceritatea ca ni se pare absolut genial! Da, incape intr-un buzunar insa nu acesta este cel mai mare atuu al micutei camere. Ne plac atat pozele (chiar si cele cu faimosul unghi wide care distorsioneaza marginile pozei, dar mai ales unghiul linear, mai putin recognoscibil), cat si stabilizarea de imagine absolut geniala! Sunetul este imbunatatit, se poate face live-streaming direct pe platformele de social media iar noua optiune de hyper-lapse, numita TimeWharp, e fabuloasa, mai ales pentru filmarile din calatorii!

EN: To be honest, we made a real obsession for the tiny GoPro camera 🙂 Even though we’ve been using it for a while (actually just checking our hard disk drive with all the old pictures stored we realized that we had it with us in almost every trip taken so far), lately we’ve discovered so many new interesting features and we’re honestly thinking about using it more and more for our travel pictures. And yes, we might not be ready yet to give up to our DSLR camera, but for some time we’re thinking about more practical, comfortable and less voluminous alternatives in our travels. Especially now, having baby Alexei with us, we’re searching for any possible way to optimize our space, our time or our luggage. We’re currently using a GoPro Hero 7 Black and we can say it out loud, with all our honesty, that we find it amazing! Yes, it fits in a pocket and that’s just not the greatest ace up the GoPro’s sleeve! We also love the photos it takes (yup, even the famous wide angle that distorts the edges but especially the ones taken with the linear angle, not so easily recognizable) but also the smooth image stabilization! The sound is way better, live-streaming on social media is now available and the new hyper-lapse feature, called TimeWharp, it’s just fabulous, especially for travel movies! 

RO: Bun, ca de obicei, avem o expozitiune prea lunga si complet abatuta de la subiectul articolului 🙂 Pentru ca ce vrem sa povestim de fapt este experienta de saptamana trecuta, cand am participat la un eveniment dragut organizat de GoPro la Ferma Dacilor. Nu stiam de aceasta locatie, atat de aproape de Bucuresti (mai exact la o ora si jumatate de condus), care are casute in copac unde se poate sta peste noapte, mancare (mult prea) multa si (mult prea) buna, podgorii cat vezi cu ochii pe dealurile din imprejurimi si bineinteles, vinuri bune. Este o locatie excelenta pentru team building-uri sau orice fel de intalniri si evenimente iar intregul domeniu este imens. Am zice noi ca asta ar fi si farmecul locatiei, faptul ca ai atat de mult spatiu in natura (ceea ce poate fi destul de greu de gasit la o distanta atat de mica de Bucuresti). Cat despre casutele in copaci (pentru ca da, oricine aude de Ferma Dacilor se opreste la casutele in copaci :D), sunt geniale! Putin mai indepartate de corpul principal al fermei (unde se afla restaurantul si cateva camere de cazare), sunt pur si simplu niste constructii de lemn in copacii din apropiere (mai corect ar fi sa spunem langa copaci, nu chiar in copaci, fiecare casa are propria sa structura, fiind insa suspendata), cu camere mari si o podea de sticla – piesa de rezistenta a locatiei de altfel 🙂 Ideea este foarte interesanta si in mod cert atrage, insa nu ne-a fost foarte clar care este scopul, avand in vedere ca nu se vedea mare lucru prin podeaua de sticla. Citisem ca ar fi vrut sa faca un tarc de lupi, insa slava cerului, ideea a fost abandonata.

EN: Well, as always, we have a way too long article introduction and we managed to wander from the subject 🙂 Because what we actually wanted to talk about is the experience we had last week with GoPro at Ferma Dacilor. We didn’t know about this location, so close to Bucharest (actually one and a half hour driving), where people can stay in tree houses, where there is plenty of good food, wineries as far as the eyes can see over the surrounding hills and of course, delicious wines. It is a great location for team buildings or any kind of meetings or events and the entire place is huge. We would say that this is the charm of the location, the fact that you have so much space in nature (which can be quite hard to find at such a short distance from Bucharest). As for the tree houses (because yup, anyone who knows about Ferma Dacilor wants to stop at the tree houses :D) these are just great! A bit farther away from the main building (where the restaurant and other rooms are), these are some wooden constructions in the trees (it would rather be fair to say next to the trees, not in the trees as each house has its own structure, just that it is indeed suspended), with large rooms and a glass floor – la pièce de résistance of this location 🙂 The idea is indeed extremely interesting and for sure it attracts tourists, but we weren’t quite sure what was the purpose of the glass floor, considering the fact that nothing could be seen through it. We read that they had an initial plan to make a fence and capture some wolves that could be admired during the night, but luckily this idea was abandoned.









RO: In orice caz, locul are un potential fantastic, locatia este excelenta si in mod cert cu putina atentie la detalii vor reusi sa faca ceva extrem de frumos. Sunt insa intr-o continua dezvoltare in momentul de fata, si asteptam sa vedem ce se va construi in curand – spre exemplu casutele tip cort, construite din piatra, demne de niste daci adevarati 🙂 Nu am avut noroc de vreme prea buna si din pacate nu am putut sa ne bucuram din plin de locatie si mai ales de casutele in copaci, insa pe timp de vara cu siguranta atmosfera este mult mai placuta si optiunile de relaxare mai multe si mai diverse. Cat despre restaurant si mancare, singura mentiune ar fi faptul ca pentru vegetarieni poate fi o adevarata provocare sa gaseasca ceva de mancat, insa specificul restaurantului este traditional romanesc, cu mancaruri grele, bazate in principal pe carne. Probabil nici dacilor nu le placea mancarea vegetariana ori vegana 😛

EN: Anyway, this place has a huge potential, the location is excellent and for sure they will make something nice here if they will pay attention to details. At the moment they are continuously developing this place and we will wait and see what they will build next – for instance the stone houses built in the shape of a tent, like a real Dacian 🙂 We didn’t have good weather and unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy more this location and the tree houses, but during summer time for sure the vibe of this place is a bit different and there are more options to relax and chill. As for the restaurant and the food, the only mention would be the fact that it can be quite a challenge for a vegetarian to find something to eat, but hey, this is a typically Romania restaurant, with heavy foods, mainly based on meat. Probably the Dacians didn’t enjoy the vegetarian or vegan food either 😛






RO: Evenimentul GoPro a fost organizat de Comtrade Distribution, distribuitor GoPro in Romania si a avut doua sectiuni importante pe parcursul weekendului. In prima zi am inceput cu un training de prezentare a noilor produse GoPro, metode de folosire a functiilor si cateva tutoriale de tips and tricks, tinut de catre trainerul Diran Carrasco. Iar cea de-a doua zi a fost dedicata complet activitatilor off-road, iar cei de la GTC Auto, care au condus masinile de teren, au fost extrem de draguti si grijulii, cat sa ne simtim cat mai confortabil posibil pe parcursul zilei. Si chiar daca o zi ploioasa poate fi reteta perfecta pentru un off-road reusit, noroios si friguros (combinatia ideala pentru o filmare buna cu GoPro-ul), pe alocuri chiar pareau niste situatii la limita, alunecari sau defectari de motor 🙂 Dar exact lucrul acesta face parte dintr-o experienta autentica de off-road si ne-am bucurat ca am reusit sa participam (multumiri bunicilor care au avut grija de Alexei cat ne faceam de cap pe dealurile din imprejurimi). Pe parcursul zilei am avut si o pauza de vin la crama Lacerta (ar fi fost si pacat sa nu profitam de zona aceasta atat de renumita pentru vinuri), am vizitat intreaga crama si am degustat cateva vinuri. Apropo, localitatea Tohani, unde se afla Ferma Dacilor, face parte din asa numitul Drumul Vinului (ei bine nu doar Germania se mandreste cu drumuri tematice ca Drumul Romantic, Drumul Castelelor, Drumul Povestilor, Drumul Caselor de Barna si lista cu siguranta poate continua :D). Mai multe informatii despre Drumul Vinului am gasit chiar in brosura oficiala, cert e ca avem deja in plan un tur al cramelor la toamna 🙂

EN: The GoPro Event was organized by Comtrade Distribution, GoPro distributor in Romania and it had two major parts during the weekend. In the first day we’ve started with a technical training held by Diran Carrasco, presenting the new GoPro products, how to use several features and some editing tips and tricks. The second day was fully dedicated to off-road activities and the guys from GTC Auto, who have driven the cars, were extremely nice and careful so that we could feel comfortable during the entire day. And even if a rainy day can be the perfect recipe for a good, muddy and chilly off-road (the ideal mix for a nice GoPro shooting), there were some risky situations, slippage or engine failures 🙂 But that’s exactly what makes the off-road experience more authentic and we were happy that we could participate to this activity (thanks to our parents for taking care of Alexei while we were running wild on the hills :D). During the day we also had a break at Lacerta Winery (it would have been a pity not to try the wines from this famous region), we visited the winery and sampled few wines. By the way, Tohani, the place where Ferma Dacilor is, is part of the so called Wine Road (well look that not only Germany has themed roads like The Romantic Road, The Castles Road, The Fairytale Road, The TimberFrame Houses Road and the list for sure can go on :D). We found more information about the Wine Road in the official brochure, and we’re already planning for a wine tour in autumn 🙂
