RO: Ei bine, toata treaba asta cu proiectul nostru de promovat designerii romani (#designeriromaniprinlume) a inceput asta primavara, inainte de plecarea in Toscana. Si asta datorita Ioanei Popa, cu care am vorbit vrute si nevrute despre Italia si sudul Frantei, despre Toscana si castele in mijlocul pustietatii, despre vinuri rosii si seci si paste proaspete, facute-n casa, despre sate pierdute-n varf de coline si despre drumuri prafuite, strajuite de chiparosi inalti. Si-atunci a intervenit dilema dilemelor. Ce rochie sa asortezi cu un castel impunator, asezat fix in mijlocul podgoriilor intinse de nu le vezi capatul. Sa mearga cu peisajul dramatic si cerul plin de nori fiorosi. Cu aleile pietruite din interiorul castelului, de parca ai fi intr-o mica cetate. Cu podgoriile abia inverzite si cu cramele unde miroase a lemn imbibat in vin. Si din toata marea de rochii fabuloase, lucrate manual, din materiale pretioase, de ti-e teama sa le atingi, ne-am oprit la cea mai turbata, cea mai ampla si cea mai plisata dintre toate. Si intre noi fie vorba, tare greu e sa alegi ceva dintre toate minunile facute de Ioana. Si de nu ne credeti pe cuvant, aruncati o privire pe site-ul Cloche, pe pagina de Instagram sau cea de Facebook. Si spor la cumparaturi, ca sigur, sigur nu veti rezista tentatiei 😀

EN: Well, the idea of our project for promoting the Romanian fashion designers  (#designeriromaniprinlume) has started last spring, before our vacation in Tuscany. And that happened thanks to Ioana Popa, to whom we have talked nineteen to the dozen about Italy and southern France, about Tuscany and castles in the middle of nowhere, about red and dry wines and fresh homemade pasta, about villages scattered on top of the hills and about dusty roads, lined with tall cypress trees. And then the dilemma arose. What dress should you match with an imposing castle, situated in the middle of the endless vineyards. To match the dramatic scenery and the sky full of fierce clouds. With the cobblestone alleys inside the castle, as if you were in a small citadel. With the barely green vineyards and the wineries where you can feel the smell of wine impregnated in the barrel’s wood. And from all those handmade gorgeous gowns, made of precious fabrics that you are almost afraid to touch them, we have chosen the boldest of them all, the widest and the most pleated one. And between you and me, it’s quite hard to chose something from all the amazing dresses Ioana makes.
