RO: Gataaaa, dupa vreo cateva luni de intors pe toate partile variantele disponibile, in sfarsit am gasit solutia sa punem la punct o vacanta impreuna cu voi! Ar fi fost si pacat sa nu punem cap la cap un plan pentru 1-6 iunie, daca tot avem doua zile libere de la stat! Numai bine legam cu weekendul si facem aproape o saptamana de umblat peste mari si tari 🙂 Si adevarul e ca ne cam place sa mergem in excursii cu grupuri de prieteni. Pai n-am fost noi 14 zabaugi taman in Sri Lanka?! 17 in Riga? Sau 10 in Filipine? Si tot cam atatia si-n Seychelles? Asa ca de astazi lansam cu surle si trambite un nou proiect, #escapeprinlume, si intre noi fie vorba, ne dorim sa iasa fix ca la carte, ca tare mult suflet am mai pus in el 🙂

EN: Aaand finally, after some months of preparation and looking for the best option, we finally found a way to organize a holiday together with you! It would have been a real shame to not have a plan for 1st-6th June since we have 2 public holidays then! Link it to the weekend and there you have it: almost a week of wandering through the world. And the truth is that we kind of like to organize trips together with our friends. Didn’t we go to Sri Lanka with 14 “crazy” people? Or 17 in Riga? Or 10 in Philippines? And about the same in Seychelles? So starting today we are launching a new project, #escapeprinlume and between you and me, we want it to be perfect because it is our heart project!

RO: Si unde, unde sa va tentam intai si-ntai cu plecarile? Pai daca tot vorbim de Ziua Copilului si de grupuri de prieteni, ce-ar fi sa fim copii la castele si palate? Sa ne luam ghiozdanele in spate si sa batem in lung si-n lat Scotia cea verde si frumoasa, plina de castele care mai de care mai aratoase, peisaje dementiale, s-o cautam pe Nessie in lacul Loch Ness, sa alergam “great hairy coos” (vacile cu breton) prin Highlands, sa bem sau nu un whisky la distilerie, sa probam un kilt in carouri rosii si-apoi sa ne facem curaj sa incercam un haggis traditional.

EN: And where, where should we tempt you to go first? Since we’re talking about Child day and groups of friends, why not be kids at castles and palaces? Let’s take our backpacks and go all the way through the green and gorgeous Scotland, full of amazing castles and crazy landscapes, search for Nessie in Loch Ness , to search for “great hairy coos” (frinch haired cows) through the Highlands, to drink a whisky or not, to try on a traditional red squared kilt and then get the courage to try a traditional haggis.



RO: Asa ca planu-i gata! Plecam pe 1 si stam pana pe 6 iunie! Cinci zile intregi de umblat brambura cu autocarul prin Highlands-urile scotiene, iar seara stat ca printii si printesele in castele medievale! Ziua copiilor adulti la castel, asta-i laitmotivul vacantei 🙂 Si ca sa nu care cumva sa gresim sau omitem vreun aspect logistic, cei de la Escape Holiday ne vor ajuta cu tot ce inseamna planificare si organizare, de la bilete de avion pana la cazari si inchiriatul mini van-ului cu care ne vom plimba cele cinci zile. Pfiu, bine ca ne-au scapat de o grija! 😀 Si-avem asa trecut pe itinerariu:

EN: So here’s the plan! We leave on June 1st and stay until June 6th. 5 whole days of wandering around Highlands with the minibus and then spending the night as princes and princesses at medieval castles. The adult child day at the castles, this is the trip’s highlight. And just so that we don’t forget any details, our friends at Escape Holiday will help us with all the planning and organizing, from airplane tickets to accomodation and minivan rental with which we will wander the 5 days. Phew, they sure helped us with this! And this is the itinerary:

RO: Ziua 1:
Aterizam in Glasgow si-o luam direct spre Edinburgh, sa prindem castelul la apus! Ne plimbam pe Royal Mille si-n centrul vechi al orasului, vizitam castelul si-apoi mai pe seara cautam cel mai grozav pub scotian pe care l-a vazut Edinburgh-ul! Iar de ne ramane vreme si un pic de vlaga dupa atata umblat, poate mai dam o fuga si prin frumusetea de satuc Dean, in aproprierea Edinburgh-ului. Si-apoi la final de zi, rasfat la castelul Melville!

EN: Day 1:
We land in Glasgow and head straight to Edinburgh to catch the sunset at the castle! We walk down the Royal Mille and through the historic centre of the city, we visit the castle and later in the night we go searching for the greatest scottish pub that Edinburgh has ever seen! And if we still have time and a little bit of breath after all this wandering, we might even through in a short drive to Dean, close to Edinburgh. And then, at the end of the day, spoil at Melville castle!

RO: Ziua 2:
O luam spre Glencoe, superbitatea de vale renumita in toata Scotia, cu peisaje de nu-ti vine a crede, nici tie, nici aparatului foto 🙂 Si inainte de un picnic copios pe campurile de la Glencoe, mai oprim si pe la Castelul Stirling, nu de alta, dar parca deja ne vom fi obisnuit cu viata la castel! Cat despre cazare, vom sta o noapte intr-o dragalasenie de casuta prin apropierea vaii Glencoe – Loch Melfort Hotel.

EN: Day 2:
We head down to Glencoe, the gorgeous valley known throughout Scotland with breathtaking landscapes that even the camera nor you can believe 🙂 And before a nice picnic on the Glencoe fields, we stop by Stirling castle, since we will already get used to living in the castles! As for spending the night, we will stay in a very cute cottage close to Glencoe Valley – Loch Melfort Hotel.
RO: Ziua 3:
Ajungem in sfarsit la Loch Ness, si de-avem putin noroc, sigur dam si de Nessie! Luam pranzul la Dores, pe marginea lacului, ne plimbam prin Inverness, oprim de un milion de ori sa vedem peisajele, trecem prin Fort William si daca tot n-apucam sa urcam pe Ben Nevis, cel mai inalt varf scotian, macar sa vizitam distileria de whisky Ben Nevis 🙂

EN: Day 3:
And we finally arrive at Loch Ness and with a little bit of luck we will get to see Nessie! We’ll have lunch at Dores on the shore of the lake, walk around Inverness, stop a million times to see the landscapes, go through Fort William and since we don’t get to climb Ben Nevis, the highest Scottish mountain, we will at least visit the Ben Nevis whisky distillery 🙂


RO: Ziua 4:
Si doar n-o fi sa ratam tocmai castelul Eilean Donan, cel mai frumos si mai faimos dintre toate castelele scotiene! Si dam o fuga si in Portree, sa bem un afternoon tea la Cuillin Hills, de unde sa vedem si toata privelistea catre toate casele colorate si tot lacul Portree, plin de barci ancorate-n port. Si daca tot visam numai castele verzi pe pereti, ramanem doua nopti si la Sherbrook Castle Hotel, sa simtim putin atmofera victoriana 🙂

EN: Day 4:
And we can’t miss Eilean Donan castle, the most beautiful and most famous of all scottish castles! And quickly go to Portree for an afternoon tea at Cuillin Hills from where we will see the view towards the colored houses and all of Portree lake full of docked boats. And since we’re only dreaming of castles, we’ll stay two nights at Sherbrook Castle Hotel to have a little bit of Victorian feel!

Toate ca toate, dar n-om ajunge degeaba in Glasgow! E musai sa vedem si orasul, si adevarul e ca stim cateva locuri dementiale! Ceainaria Tchai-Ovna, o nebunie hipstereasca, universitatea Glasgow cu toate arcadele si labirinturile, strada Ashton Lane plina de cafenele si restaurante si fara doar si poate dam o fuga si pana la castelul Kelburn, cel mazgalit de desene animate 🙂

EN: Day 5:
All in all, but we’re not going to Glasgow for nothing! We must see the city and the truth is we know a couple of amazing places! The Tchai-Ovna tea-house, a crazy hipster place, the Glasgow university with all its arches and labirinths, Ashton Lane street full of coffee shops and restaurants and undoubtedly we’ll go to Kelburn castle, the cartoon one 🙂

RO: Cat despre zboruri, am cautat cea mai buna varianta ca sa profitam cat mai mult de zilele alese. Si am gasit optiunea de la Blue Air, cu plecare de 1 iunie dimineata (07:25) si intors pe 6 iunie (plecare la 10:10 din Glasgow). Pretul intregului pachet de cinci zile, cu transport cu avionul inclus, transport asigurat cu mini van-ul in Highlands si cazari la castele si pensiuni de 4 sau 5 stele (mic dejun inclus), costa 1195 euro de persoana. De v-am convins cu planurile noastre de copilarit pe meleaguri scotiene de 1 iunie, va asteptam ori noi, ori prietenii de la Escape Holiday cu un mesaj privat, sa-ncepem sa punem tara la cale! Noi vom fi insotitorii grupului si-abia asteptam sa va pregatim o multimeeeeee de surprize, pentru ca povestea asta cu #escapeprinlume va urma si cu alte destinatii grozave! Stay tuned!

EN: As for the flights, we looked for the best option to make the most out of the public holidays. And we found the Blue Air option, leaving on 1st of June in the morning (07:25) and coming back on June 6th (leaving Glasgow at 10:10). The price of the whole 5 days package, including flights, all of the transfers in a minibus through the Highlands and 4/5 stars accomodations at castles and guesthouses (breakfast included) is 1195 euros/person.
