EN: It’s been almost ten months since we started our project for promoting the Romanian designers and values. And meanwhile we developed another obsession for beautiful places in our country, the boutique lodging, the traditional guesthouses, the typical Romanian hotels. So there’s no wonder that we have chosen to speak about Adrian Oianu at Cincsor, the guesthouses nearby Sibiu, made in a former German school and a former parish house. Because all the items made by Oianu have that Romanian touch in common, which brings our traditions in the foreground. Embroideries from different parts of the country, insertions inspired by the Romanian traditional costumes, traditional motifs combined with modern fabrics. A mix of old and new that you recognize immediately. “The Oianu dress” is unique and it totally represents Romania, from the first sewing to the latest finishing, details and embellishments. And even if it promotes the hand crafted products and everything related to traditions, it is innovative, special, remarkable! And for all the respect he has for Romania, for the beautiful idea to keep and promote the Romanian values, for the inspiration that comes from the Romanian art and culture, hats off for Oianu!
