#ioanapetre prinlume

EN: Actually we’re not the biggest fans of Milan and its surroundings, but we’ve seen that if you give up to some of the touristic cliches, you can find some really nice places around Lake Como. And the truth is that all this setting, full of old colorful houses, terraces on the lake, cobblestone streets, bars and restaurants, leander flowers at every corner of the street and gelato shops, makes you think about the famous Italian “dolce far niente”. And honestly, Italy from tip to toe, is perfect for taking pictures! Each picture taken here is screaming colors. Italy itself is a Photoshop saturation taken to the maximum, and yes, we love it! So we wanted to get the best out of this occasion and continue our #designeriromaniprinlume (Romanian Designers Around The World) project on the streets of Bellagio and Como. And we’ll tell a few words about Ioana Petre, a cute Romanian designer who just started her fashion career and just launched a lovely nature-inspired collection. The fabrics are all natural, the patterns seem to be drawn by child hands, and above all, her inspiration comes from home 🙂 From the woods of the Bucegi mountains, the fresh air from Sinaia, the garden full of peonies, the butterflies from the courtyard and everything that reminds her of childhood. All the prints are hand painted by Ioana, then scanned, edited and printed on cotton or silk, 100% natural fabrics. It is true that we haven’t chosen the most representative piece of clothing from her collecton (probably the only one without any pattern), but there are lots of other gorgeous products on Ioana’s Facebook profile. And soon there will be a website and also a fall collection! 🙂
